Aire Mitchell-Somoza is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD) and a Master’s in Education (MEd) in Human Sexuality Studies at Widener University. In 2018, they graduated with comprehensive honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology and Vocal Performance.
Prior to their graduate training, Aire worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator for the Mind Research Network, meeting with individuals who are incarcerated to assess for symptoms of PTSD. As a graduate student, they have worked in various settings, including with people who are justice-involved, individuals with mood and anxiety concerns, and those recovering from traumatic injuries or preparing for surgery.
