Asanthi Ratnasekera DO, FACS

Asanthi Ratnasekera DO FACS, received her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond VA and her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a General Surgery residency at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford NJ, followed by a Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Ratnasekera is board-certified in general surgery and surgical critical care by the American Board of Osteopathic Surgery.

She currently serves as Associate Trauma Medical Director, Christiana Care Health System

Dr. Ratnasekera is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is an active committee member of Society of Critical Care Medicine, Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma and Association of Women Surgeons. Her interests include firearm injury prevention and clinical outcomes research in trauma patients.
