PAT DEMIRANDA
Camp Encouragement
In the City Of Chester there are so many people walking around with unresolved trauma and if I can be of any help to give our families the opportunity to receive counseling and save their lives then I’m all in.
Patricia graduated from Chester High School Class 1972, encouraged by her uncle she attended Virginia State University graduating with a BS in accounting (1977).
Patricia was motivated to receive her Master Degree after the murder of her son. She was given the vision to create a Grief camp for children and she graduated from Neumann University with Master’s in Organizational and Strategic Leadership (2014). She is also has a certificate as a Biblical Counselor (2017).
Patricia’s son William Trippley was murdered in the street of Chester (April, 2014) and that incident changed her life. With the help of Neal Regino the William Trippley Youth Development (WTYDF) was founded (2008). The Trippley Foundation offers at-risk youth a year round program focusing on education and soccer and with the help of the Philadelphia Union, Chester City United was created.
Patricia is founder of Camp Encouragement. Camp Encouragement is a grief camp for children who losted a loved ones. This week long camp gives children the opportunity to participate in counseling sessions, talk about their loved one, and also meet other children who are going through the same or similar issues.
